‘Admiral Blake’
1961 Leyland Atlantean – Open Top
Registration: MSJ499.
Colour: Cream and Red.

Blue Leather seating – upper
Blue Moquette - Lower
Seating Capacity: 75.
New to the legendary Devon General Company in 1961 this 75 seat front entrance fitted with Metro-Cammell body operated on local service in and around the seaside town of Torquay on the south coast.

This batch of ‘open top’ buses were all named after local ‘sea dogs’

She was purchased in July 2007 and has gradually being restored back into the Devon General ‘open top’ livery you see today.

Ideal for outings to the seaside, wedding transport, prom nights or a day at the races

‘Peggy’
1956 Foden PVD6
Registration: OED217.
Colour: Red and White.
Style:
Double Deck, Rear Open Platform
Interior:
Leather & Polished Wood
Seating Capacity: 58.
New to Warrington Corporation in 1956 this 58 seat rear open platform fitted with East Lancashire Coachworks body operated on local service in and around the town of Warrington in Cheshire.

This is an extremely rare vehicle of only 61 built just 2 survive of which ‘Peggy’ is the only one fully restored and in working order. She also has the distinction of being the last one ever built.

She was purchased directly from service in 1972 and was restored over a period of many years, latterly she resided for 15 years as a exhibit at the British Commercial Museum at Leyland before we purchased and recommissioned her for active service.

‘Caroline’
1960 Leyland PD3
Registration: 8159EL.
Colour: Yellow and Maroon.
Style:
Double Deck, Front Exit & Rear Entrance
Interior:
Brown Leather seating.
Seating Capacity: 63.
New to Bournemouth Corporation in 1960 this 63 seat front exit, rear entrance fitted with Weymann body operated on local service in and around the seaside town of Bournemouth on the south coast.

In later life she was withdrawn from service and became a mobile exhibition unit. She was purchased in July 2007 and spent the next 2 years being fully restored to pristine condition including reinstating the seats which have also been reupholstered to the original design in the upper and lower decks, new floors and repanelling work was carried out before a final repaint back into Bournemouth Corporation colours.
